For my SPARK 2024 exhibit, I have a series of images from Lang Pioneer Village. I have been a visitor to Lang for many years and my main area of interest for this exhibit is on the historical interpreters as they are seen working in their various settings in the village. History is all around us and the interpreters do an amazing job of keeping history alive for the many visitors to the village.

I became interested in photography in the late 60's and was hooked. I went on to study Photography at Humber College. I was employed in the photo industry working at City TV, and at the CBC on the National News service. This will be my 10th year with Spark and I would like to thank the Peterborough Library for giving me another opportunity to display my work.

I am looking forward to a return to SPARK 2024 after several years on the sidelines and am particularly excited to have the opportunity to exhibit alongside the B4 group of veteran photographers and longtime Spark participants. I’m a recently retired educator who among other disciplines taught film and digital photography for over twenty years. This exhibit will be a retrospective, the process of reviewing somewhat forgotten images has made this an interesting trip back in time!

Participating in the SPARK Photo Festival over the years has provided a great opportunity for me to share with others how I see the world from behind the lens. This is my eleventh year exhibiting. I’ll have a full range of images to display at the Peterborough Public Library. I hope you enjoy this year’s offering.
