For my SPARK 2023 exhibit, I am presenting a series of images of old mills. Most are grist mills but some are saw mills, woollen mills and there is even one generating mill. The buildings date from 1829 through 1911 and many have been re-built over the years. Some of the mills are still operating and producing flour. I look forward to sharing the images and hope you enjoy viewing them.

I became interested in photography in the late 60's and was hooked. I went on to study Photography at Humber College. I was employed in the photo industry working at City TV, and at the CBC on the National News service. This will be my 9th year with SPARK and I would like to thank the Peterborough Library for giving me another opportunity to display my work.

Participating in the SPARK Photo Festival over the years has provided a great opportunity for me to share with others how I see the world from behind the lens. This is my tenth year exhibiting. This year I will mainly exhibit some favourites along with some recent efforts. I hope you enjoy this year’s offering.

As we say “Happy Tenth Birthday to the SPARK Photo Festival”, it is also my tenth and probably final year as a participant. For this reason, I feel entitled to a bit of nostalgia and a recycling of photographs from previous exhibits--just an old-lady photographer enjoying a bit of a retrospective and reflecting on how time flies when you are having fun behind a camera. My images will include water and woodland items, as well as things produced by us humans.
