Statement
The theme of SPARK’s 2020 Juried Exhibit is Motion.
A photograph has the unique ability to record a fraction of a particular moment in time. It is ironic that the subject of numerous “still photographs” attempts to convey a sense of motion.
For the photographer, a sense of motion, whether frozen, perfectly sharp and in focus, or with the subject or background blurred, becomes a technical and artistic choice.
