My photographic journey began near the middle of the last century, with instruction from my father, and work in his home darkroom, while I was still in elementary school. Since I retired, almost 20 years ago, I have earned a College Certificate in photography, and have travelled to photograph wildlife in many amazing places in North and South America, and in Africa.
Last September I had the privilege of traveling with twelve other passengers and crew, on the schooner “Maple Leaf” to areas of Canada’s Great Bear Rain Forest. This trip into this beautiful and fragile ecosystem gave me the opportunity to get close to some of Canada’s wildlife that many Canadians will never see, including the elusive “Spirit Bear.”
